Military Leaders Speak Out Against Donald Rumsfeld And His Decisions

If you listen to President Bush he will tell you that Rummy ain’t no dummy. However, popular opinion polls aside, many in important places are starting to speak out against Rumsfeld and the names of his detractors deserve our attention. The average man on the street will usually give you a very partisan answer in regards to the Secretary of Defenses job approval rating regardless of whom it happens to be at the time.

Conversely, Armed Forces leadership generally bites its tongue on these questions and moves on to the next question. More and more military brass are stepping up onto the big stage and speaking out in support of the growing sentiment that Rumsfeld and Bush did not listen to all of the information they were provided in regards to he Iraq war.

The White House is standing behind Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, they say he is doing a great job and should keep doing as he has done. However, privately it is being rumored about in Washington that many long standing Republicans want the President to buck Rumsfeld and make him the patsy for a policy gone astray. Rumsfeld appears dedicated, and loyal, enough to take the fall but will the President let him is another matter.

The President has pride, in himself, America, and above all else his cabinet. I believe President bush will ride Rumsfeld to the end whether it’s the best decision or not because he respects Rumsfeld. If you were Presidetn what would you do?
