India Makes Secret Deals With Iran, What Is Bush Doing?

President Bush wants to give nuclear technology to India, then we find out India has secret ties with Iran. How can we trust any decision President Bush has made recently? And what is the deal with India? I sometimes wonder if we have a grip on world policy at all. He is really making me wonder?

nd does he really want us to share nuclear technology with India after this latest revelation? What is going on lately? Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice acknowledged that the United States had concerns over India’s relationship with Iran but will not ask New Delhi to sever its links with Tehran in exchange for civilian nuclear technology. What is up with that? Is this not a big problem? What is the Bush Administration thinking?

Is there any country that deals with another honestly and up front? I guess one thing that we know for sure, Iran must be dealt with, and even the most hard-headed of countries can see that Ian needs to be contained immediately, they appear to be the country most likely to start Armageddon.

With regards to Iran, even a dingbat could figure this one out. It has been reported that there are Bush plans for going to war in Iran. Many in the Bush Administration deny there are plans but say that all options must be kept on the table. The controversy has been started by an article in the New Yorker that was crafted by Seymour Hersh. The article claims that the Bush administration is increasing stealthy activities inside Iran to create regime change while also planning a major air attack in Iran. Recently an unmanned spy plane was shot down in Iran and this has only added fuel to the fire. Many say we should have gone into Iran before Iraq to begin with. The White House is denying all rumors and innuendo but what else would you expect of them? Is it time for a military strike in Iran or should we wait for diplomacy that may or may not ever work?

The problem with waiting is that the President of Iran has already declared to the world his aspirations for nuclear technology, both civilian, and militarily. The President of Iran has also openly called for the destruction of his neighboring country in Israel, the President has stated that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth and all should burn. I believe nuclear tipped missiles would have just this capability. I am very tired of war in the Middle East but in this particular situation it may well be the very best option.

I am growing tired of hearing about regime change in other countries; many are calling for it here in America. I think the President needs to focus more on domestic America than he currently is. However, Iran is one foreign policy issue that I feel needs a lot of attention. Most Iranians are good people; they are honest, and trustworthy. However, they are also loyal, and they will follow their Presidents wishes and if this means a call to harm symbols of Western culture than they would do this, on this issue there must be change.

If Iran will not change its path than maybe we will have to accept another unpopular war that will help make the world a safer place. However, once we save the world again I think we need a rest, America is not Superman. We also need to get back to focusing on domestic American issues. Therefore I must say, get on with it. If its inevitable then lets get it done, if not then lets move on.

  1. “Hitlers” need to be preempted, but those who beat them back are often led by multipolar grabbers of powe. China may not be alone. Russia, India? We supported Iran covertly during the Iran-Iraq war; Saudis whatever their mindset, don’t care for Isarel and could use a nuke of their own. Attacking Iran is illogical; but it’s also a prisoner’s dilemma. Thus the US must simply go on. Vote wisely in 2008.

When a nuclear tyrant (or terrorist helped by one) strikes next, “The People” who engendered freedoms of speech, of religious thought, of McDonald’s and Microsoft everywhere, they will not be in a position to respond on behalf of the entire world. We will stay as Americans, but the world will move on. In a best case scenario Ahmanijad will exist no more (and US would preclude a “Shah’s” return). Let us hope his decline will not be such as the Soviets’ in Afghanistan. It should be overt and internationally acceptable, but it must not be as slow. Let us hope that it will not coincide with isolationism in the USA; that would begin the Americans’ own precipitous fall.
