Bush And Illegal Immigration, What A Pair

Try all you want to make sense of the immigration issue being bandied about in Washington but what it comes down to is that Corporate owners, and wealthy citizens, want the perks of cheap labor and they exploit immigrants to get it. However, this one will bite them in the butt.

Once these illegals are granted citizenship they will no longer be allowed to work for cheap labor wages, American citizens must get paid the minimum wage in each state. Therefore, this immigration reform will really be a price hike to those who have greedily exposed these immigrants to slave labor practices. Let’s see how much the Republican well to do’s like paying social security, and FICA, on their exploited labor. Let’s also see how they like giving those benefits and other expenses. Hey geniuses, you can’t have it both ways. And after all this hoopla America better put an end to nonexistent border security, this issue is alone troubling enough we don’t need to repeat it every five years.

Even with all the political handshaking, and maneuvering, there are still numerous roadblocks to immigration reform in Washington, as there should be. The policy is failed to being with. It is virtually impossible to come up with a legitimate way to legitimize the illicit procedure of granting these illegal immigrants legal status. I really can’t see there being any way to do this without admitting the obvious, which is that we have failed to protect our country the past seven to eight years and now we are seeing the results. Our leadership should be embarrassed on both sides of the aisle, and we must remember this when we go to vote this year, and in 2008.

The Senate Judiciary Committee expressed optimism that senators can pass a bill when they return from vacation but this is just his opinion, and as the Senate Judiciary Committee I would expect them to also look into why we are dealing with this problem in the first place. Can anyone answer how this many illegals got in to begin with? You would think someone would say, “Hey there most be a hole in the wall because millions are accidentally pouring in” But I guess that’s too much to ask for, some reasoning. I say if this is not addressed then we should elect a new Senator, or Congressman, regardless of political affiliation, we need someone who will give us the action we need.
