NBC Should Be Ashamed Of Its NASCAR Ploy

Is NBC treating NASCAR fans like bigoted idiots? Are they just that darn stuuuuuupid? NBC tried to wag the redneck dog but this dog proved to be smarter, and more intelligent, than the average hound, and NBC should be ashamed of itself for their actions.

News is supposed to report the news not make the news, most dignified reporters go out of their way not to be the story, they merely want to report the story. However, in the modern times of the ‘Look at Me’ generation, NBC has resorted to acting like a reality television star who has been jumping out in front of the camera as a bizarre life reality house guest. NBC News reportedly baited the hook, but none of the supposed rednecks bit, NBC caught nothing in its so called ‘redneck sting’ operation, which was an attempt to find anti-Muslim sentiments during the NASACR Martinsville race this past weekend.

NBC understands that NASCAR is a ratings wonder, and everyone likes to see the prom queen dragged down hard and dirty and NBC would love to have this type of story to hype. NBC also carries a certain amount of races and any attention it can generate is sure to only increase their ratings. Is this legal, it most likely is, is it moral, or ethical, it really appears to be a shady area of gray.

NASCAR’s governing body addressed the issue as being outrageous on Wednesday, they had a hard time swallowing the fact that their partial business partner used their racing format as a way to try and provoke anti-Muslim reactions from spectators during last week’s race. NBC is dying to get a story about growing U.S. sentiment towards Islam.

NBC has tried to get Muslim looking individuals to dress up as traditional Muslims and go into areas where they may be treated with hostility; it is an apparent race baiting tactic that hopes to generate controversy to be shown. I wonder how long before NBC advises the individuals to create trouble and then resort to editing where we will only see the responses and not the antagonizing, I imagine if the attempts are flopping like a lot of people say they are, NBC will generate its own slant to the story. The will edit the initial punch and catch some red-blooded Americans responding.

How can I ever trust hem, or their news, again? I guess I will have to pop over to NBC and catch Katie on her new channel. At least I know there I am not watching fabricated stories.

NBC Ands Its Muslim Scam Is Very Unprofessional, Talk About Desperate
