Homeland Unsecurity Not The Fault Of Bush

If you can’t trust homeland security then who can you trust? I guess you can’t really hang this on the Homeland Security Department but you can judge them partially for their inability to see that a privileged individual in an important position was utilizing government resources to perform atrocious acts. The individual I am speaking of is a deputy press secretary for the United States Department of Homeland Security, Brian Doyle.

Mister Doyle was arrested at his Maryland home on charges alleging that he used his computer in an attempt to seduce an adolescent; he is also accused of transmitting harmful matter to a minor. The issue is not, and should not, be associated with President Bush and his Administration. However, talk on the street already has the liberal hawks swooping in and hyping up the story and trying to put a liberal slam or two into the story for good measure.

The story stands on its own and individuals like this who perform such monstrous acts really do not need to have their stories hyped to get attention. Brian Doyle will get all the attention he needs, but we should make sure not to associate this problem with anything the Bush Administration has done in regards to Homeland Security, and the management of the program.

One concern this brings to me is that a person acting like Brian Doyle did creates a very serious risk to our national security. What if some teenager was to utilize Doyles’ actions in a blackmail attempt, would Mister Doyle have compromised national security to protect himself? If he could perform the acts he is accused of then we cannot honestly say anything is out of range for this guy.

Creeps can perform acts on their own but when the creeps use their government provided assets to perform heinous acts then I believe someone should be made aware, I also believe individuals involved in Homeland Security, the FBI, and the CIA need to be watched and scrutinized more than Joe Public. We put the nations trust in their hands; we need to be assured they are acting responsibly.

In interviews with police, Doyle confessed and has agreed to waive extradition to Florida, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
