Domestic Policy

Fortunate Sons Cannot Dictate To Bush On Immigration Policy

I was told at a young age you cannot be a little pregnant, or you cannot be slightly lying. You are either pregnant or your not, you are either lying or your not; there are not degrees to these issues. In the same manner you cannot be a little drunk driving can you?

You are either legally drunk or not. Therefore I say we must bring an end to the ridiculous discussion over illegal immigration. You are either a legal immigrant, in which case I welcome you into my country with open arms, or you are an illegal immigrant, which makes you a criminal. This is not an indication of your character its merely a fact. We cannot pick and choose which laws to follow, laws are laws and they are meant to be followed, its how we avoid anarchy in America. Therefore I must tell you, there is only one type of immigrant, a legal one. I cannot accept any other argument on this subject.

We cannot allow a certain class, or political party, to blur the lines of what is legal or not. I don’t care if you have to cut your own grass, or watch your own kids, or paint your own garage, that is not my problem. If you want these things then take care of them yourself, or pay the going price for service. I do not want my life, or that of my loved ones, jeopardized so those fortunate sons of America can avoid the commonalities of life that we of the middle class, and lower class, have to endure. I say if you want cheap labor for around your house then you should move to the foreign country of your choice, quit trying to sneak in illegal immigrants.

I also must say, “How dare the President say we need illegal’s because they do the jobs Americans won’t.” This statement is ridiculous and sounds very uneducated. I expect more from the President than this. I want this argument to end and end quickly; it’s a waste of our time and money. We need to address the price of gas, or insurance, not try and justify slave labor servants for the fortunate sons of America.
