Bush Needs To Deal Blow To Terrorism To Change Views

We have civil war breaking out all over Iraq; we have Afghanis’ rising up and attacking American military bases in Afghanistan. We have a war on terror that after five years has really produced no tangible results. If anything we have lost focus on our own domestic protection. Look at the Report Card given to Congress a few months ago; it detailed how badly America is actually prepared for terrorism, as anything done about this?

Now we have the individuals sneaking radioactive material into the country without being stopped or detained. What is going on here? I thought President Bush was the most Patriotic, and caring, President I have seen. However, in four short years he has turned my image of him from one that makes me proud to be an American to one who makes me scratch my head. I still like the President but I wish I could sit down with him to have him explain how America is actually safer now than we were pre 9-11.

We have kill squads driving through the streets of Baghdad killing anyone of ethnic diversity, or religion. We have individuals walking into crowded areas and blowing apart men, woman, and children. Where is the progress? I don’t recall it being this dangerous before Sadaam so why does it seem so out of control now? Was this man rally a vicious dictator or more like a hardened prison warden? When I see what goes on daily it appears like we are beating our heads against a brick wall. I sometimes find myself asking if these individuals actually want us there in the first place. The way they act it sure does not seem like it. You won’t see the naysayer’s on television but there must be a lot of them if our policy has taken this long.

Then you look at Afghanistan and you hear about Muslim clerics wanting to rip a person to pieces for his beliefs, is this progress? There are now small militia groups starting to ratchet up attacks on our military bases in Afghanistan, if we walloped them like we are told, why is this occurring? Has the Bush Administration mislead us on our actual progress? Are we in so deep a mess that no one knows how to get us out? Are they really just carrying this on so they can hand it off to the next President? What is the deal here?

I want the Iraq war ended and I want tangible changes for the American lives and money spent on this policy. I also want changes in Afghanistan. I understand Afghanistan is not my country of origin but how can any modern country sanction the killing of individuals for merely their religion? This is like the rebirth of Nazism. Any business, or country, doing business with Afghanistan should be ashamed.

Bush needs better results in war on terror
