Bush Cannot Justify Illegal Immigration

Cry all you want but the argument with immigration ends the minute you put illegal in front of it. I have no problem with immigration; it’s the illegal immigration that bothers me, as well as most other Americans. I am a law abiding citizen, I expect those around me to abide by the law. I do not believe that the government wants individuals to pick and choose which laws are actually laws and which they will disobey so I must state that in regards to immigration this ideal must also apply.

If illegal immigration is o.k. then what is wrong with illegal gambling, and illegal pot smoking, and illegal drinking and driving? If it is o.k. to disrespect the laws of immigration then why can’t I disrespect other laws I don’t really care that much for. I would love to zoom through red lights; if illegal immigration is o.k. then I want illegal red light driving addressed as well.

Listening to the debate about immigration is ridiculous when it turns to the issue of illegal immigration. If it is illegal it is wrong, end of story. To say otherwise is opening laws to individual interpretation and that would create danger and chaos. Law is like Science, either the laws are right or they are wrong. You can change them but you can not disregard them. If immigration laws are being broken then criminal activity is taking place. Good people make bad decisions all the time, ask any casual drinker who got a DUI for one drink over the limit, is this really any different than breaking an immigration law? Of course not, a law is a law and they must be obeyed if we want a civilized society.

I also wish the President would quit saying there are jobs Americans won’t do. There are jobs they won’t do for what many rich individuals want to pay them, but is the exploitation of immigrants really o.k. because we let them in? This policy the President is pushing is like legalized Sweat Sop Authority. What is going on here? Five years ago we crucified Kathy Lee for the same thing President bush is trying to legalize, what is the deal here?

If I am wrong then I wish someone would enlighten me. I think we need to make all immigration legal and we need to produce more good paying jobs here in America.
