Bush 3 Years Into Iraq War

It is going to be three years now and according to initial advisories we are about 400$ billion over budget, and about two years overdue, in regards to the Iraq war. The war is going bad for the Bush Administration so what do they do, they just put on a good television show. They fly in the jets, they fire off the big guns, they rip clips from the machine guns, isn’t this what the macho-man inside each of us wants to see?

So when things get really bad Bush just orders up a good video or two and we forget just how badly this war has been planned. However, what we forget is that it is costing us tens, and hundreds, of thousands each day we fight this war and we are just not getting enough bang for our buck. While the brave men and woman carry on the fight as ordered, our bobble-headed politicians back home have not figured out how to win the war before America goes broke. I say bring our brave soldiers back home while we can still afford the plane ticket, besides, they did everything asked of them, lets see how long we are in Iraq if Senator So-and-So is on the ground in Iraq, or lets put Congressman Blah-Blah on a guard post in hostile territory, then we will see how much longer this war goes on. It’s time this fiasco ended and it’s the time right now. Our soldiers have done the job but the coaches (War planners) have failed, the soldiers should not be left hanging out to dry for our leaders mistakes.

It was reported that approximately 1,500 Iraqi and American forces went on the hunt for insurgents in Iraq. However, for the few that are caught, what is the price of American blood, and dollars? We send in 1000 troops, gear, and ammo, this is not cheap. The insurgency is like an infestation of cockroaches, you turn on the light and they just scramble to cracks and crevices, only the really dumb ones get squashed. We have seen these raids before, Operation Thunderstrike, Operation Hammer, Operation BlackSnake, etc..,etcc…Yet what has really changed in Iraq. Every so many months when the press gets on President Bush we get one of these big operations. However, this time I am not impressed, I am disgusted. I am mad that American soldiers are risking their lives for a failed policy. If I had a child over there in Iraq and the President said he could not set a timetable for his\her return I would be beside myself in grief.

I applaud the soldiers for their efforts, they are worthy of our praise. However, the game planners of this war have failed them like an 0-16 football coach. I don’t want the rah-rah cheerleading the Bush Administration offers; I want the reality of the war. And the reality is that this war is bankrupting America and the ones in charge have no idea what’s really going on. It’s going on 3 years soon, we need this B S to end and it needs to end quickly.
