Islam : Mohammad Cartoon Protestors Hit America

The Mohammad cartoon issue has finally reached American soil and in defense of our freedoms we must stand together resolutely. I understand religion and I would never want to offend anyone’s religious beliefs, or integrity. However, in America we practice the separation of Church and State. Therefore we must keep these issue separate, and above all we must value or belief in free speech.

If you acquiesce now you will never stop and on this particular issue we must not bend or waver one bit. I do not enjoy the Mohammad cartoons that have offended Muslims practicing their religion of Islam. But I do enjoy the freedom of the press, and I believe the press has the right to print whatever non-liable information they want. If the cartoons are so offensive to God then let him send his own avenging angel, we don’t need Saint Jihad running amuck here in the grand U S of A.

I respect Islam as much as my own religion. Basically they are the same religions, why we see them so differently is beyond me. However, the cartoons do not stop anyone from practicing their religion, or enjoying their religion, therefore I must ask these protestors to move on with their lives.

We have tolerated many hatreds here in America, we adjust to the circumstances and move on, we do not sacrifice our freedoms on anyone’s behalf, and we certainly will not abandon our beliefs in the face, or threat, of senseless racist violence, which is really what most for the Mohammad cartoon protests were.

So before the rebel rousing racist protestors start to stir up trouble let me stop them in their tracks. You have the right to protest, hat is what makes America great. However, you do not have the right to try and control the free press. If the cartoons are offensive to God then let him be the avenging angel, until hen mind your business and I will mind my own.

I can’t tell you what to do, or think, and I don’t expect you to tell me. Americans have fought too hard, and long, for these freedoms we enjoy. We will not sacrifice them on anyone’s behalf; on this we stand united, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike.
