The President has advised that he is not worried by his disappointing poll numbers but what I don’t think he understands is that this is not a popularity poll as much as it is an approval poll, and for his numbers to be this bad he must be doing something wrong.
President Bush won re-election in 2004, but since this times his approval rating has been sinking fast and there does not appear to be a life preserver in site. The Presidents approval rating is sinking like the Titanic and it has other Republican politicians fearing they will be caught going down in his wash.
Do Republicans have something to fear, most say they do. The Democrats have advised that the Republicans used the guilty by association moniker to win the House and Senate in previous years, they advise they will use the same strategy this time around.
What do the Presidents poll numbers mean to you? Do they really matter or are they just hyperbole for the media?
