Bush : Coast Guard Speaks Up On DP World Ports Deal
If you can’t rust the President who can you trust? The Coast Guard is always a good bet, and it is the Coast Guard who as spoken up recently in regards to the DP World Ports issue. Finally we get to hear from an unbiased, un-political, unattached, organization. The Coast Guard has no political, economical, or personal interest, in the ports deal, their only interest is American security and for this reason I am grateful that they have joined the discussion.
We have heard from the President, from the Congress, and from the UAE, now the Coast Guard has weighed in and I feel most confident with their evaluation of the situation. They have advised that there may be security issues that have not been properly addressed. They are not condemning the UAE, or the President, or the Congress, they are merely sating a fact, and because of their unbiased nature many are taking their advice, and opinion, to heart.
They are correct, we need more time to look into the company, and the security issues, if the President was only alerted a week or two ago on the issue then I really cannot trust his opinion. I feel the Coast Guard is making a good decision to speak up, and speak up honestly. Let’s hope the President listens and gives he DP World ports deal a little more consideration.
