Did Bush Wiretaps Save America From Terror This Time?

The Muslim World League recently discussed holding a conference to discuss why Muslims appear to be the targets of many western media outlets; well here is just one more example of why the few are giving the more such a bad reputation, and yes MWL, you can use this as a topic of discussion.

In Cleveland, the heartland of America, three Muslim men from the Middle East have been detained and are being charged with plotting terrorist attacks against the United States and coalition troops in Iraq. This did not occur in a foreign country it happened right here in the domestic United States of America.

All three accused previously lived in Toledo within the past year, all three individuals were arrested over the weekend. Two of the individuals were arrested in Toledo, and the third was arrested in Jordan.

America is so busy fighting the war on terror all over the world many feel the domestic war is not as focused on and thus actually makes America more vulnerable to domestic terrorist attacks.

Reportedly an unidentified individual with a previous military background helped the United States government thwart the conspirators. Reportedly the unidentified individual worked along side the suspects while clandestinely assembling evidence against them.

There are rumors that the much maligned warrant-less wiretaps played a key role in helping catch these terrorists. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales did not exclude the use of warrant-less wiretapping during the investigation, but he also stated that prosecutors were cautious not to jeopardize the terrorist case. Gonzales refused to say whether an attack was impending.
