Cheney: Daffy Dean Goes After Dick Cheney

Just when Vice President Dick Cheney thinks he is out of the woods, Daffy Duck has emerged to advise him that all is not well in LoonieToon Land. Over the weekend the Vice President pulled and Elmer Fudd and plastered his hunting buddy with buckshot spread. Thankfully the hunting buddy is recovering well. However, many are asking why the country did not find out about the shooting until later Sunday afternoon, well after the actual shooting event happened and way in advance of the press release describing the accident.

And now Vice President Fudd, I mean Cheney has another cartoon character chomping at the bit to take him another notch down. Daffy Duck, b.k.a. Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean, stated Monday that Vice President Cheney should resign if it is found to be true that he ordered a top aide, Scooter Libby, to leak classified information to the media as a means to helping defend the decision to invade Iraq.

Daffy Dean, I mean Daffy Duck, I mean Howard Dean repeated calls Monday stating that he feels Cheney may have broken the law if it is true that he ordered his former chief of staff, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, to offer up classified information to reporters in 2003.

Democratic Chairman Dean stated, “If Vice President Cheney has, in fact, ordered the leaking of political information…of intelligence information, that means he has to step aside…We don’t know if it’s true, but he has been accused of it. If it’s true, he has to step aside.”

The Vice President has had a tough week already and its only just beginning, I think some cartoon comic relief would do him well at this point in time. The only problem is that right now he is a very busy man and he has no time for reflection, or interjection, he has a lot on his agenda and he has been busy trying to keep his appointments.

Still, there are questions being asked that people want answers to. They want to know why there was such a long delay in the reporting of the incident, and they want to know what Scooter Libby really did on behalf of the Vice President. These are pressing issues that offer no chance for any comic relief. The Vice President has had it tough but its only going to get tougher.

I wonder how the soldiers at Arggh ( thedonovan) feel about this?
