Say what you want about President Bush, he is a great speaker. He speaks directly to the American people and says what most Americans want to hear. The problem is we hear it but we don’t always see the follow through. The President made a great State of the Union speech Tuesday night; let’s hope he follows it up with actions.
President Bush advised Americans that although the future may seem uncertain at times he is assured America will prevail in its aspirations. President Bush explained America’s economy will not only continue to grow but that it will emerge even stronger. President Bush also advised that we should not fear China, or India, he advised domestic America will adapt to the new global economy and lead the way once again in the global economic world.
President Bush seemed to speak more to Americans about domestic issues than he usually does. Hopefully this is a sign that his handlers have advised him its time to turn his focus inward and help fix America, this would be a great policy move.
We have heard the talk before about weaning America off foreign oil dependence, hopefully this time there is substance to this rhetorical statement.
In general the speech President Bush gave left me full of inspiration. I hope the President keeps to his words and helps make America the great country it deserves to be.
President Bush Delivers State of the Union Address
Got to disagree. That was a bore to watch. He seemed to lack emotion, passion and was way to predictable in his delivery. Blah
I have to agree with you. Although, you can’t blame him. He already spent his “political capital” and has no real money to run on. He can’t set big ambitions right now…he just can’t do it. I explain some of the things I think he missed here.
