Saddam Hussein on Jerry Springer?

All I am waiting for now is the usual line, “You are not the Father Saddam.” Sadamms’ trial is looking very Jerry Springer-esque lately we need to get this handled immediately. We are always told, there may be no weapons of mass destruction but the world is a way better place without Saddam in it. Do you feel the world is really any better, or different, now than when this joker was running a half baked country in Iraq? Some say the Middle East is actually more dangerous for Americans now than it was before the war. How do you feel?

In a scene that looked more like a Jerry Springer stage than a court room, disruption and chaos once again reigned supreme. The trial of Saddam Hussein is becoming more and more of a side show every day. And when this trial is finally completed, will there really be any symbolic gain?

Saddams’ half brother stepped up today to stand in front of the court and mock the process, as well as the court itself. He was then followed by Saddam, and Saddams’ defense team. Is this the actions of a guilty man or just a man bent on making his last final stand in defiance?

Regardless of what you believe, this trial needs to be performed in an orderly, and dignified, manner. Anything less will give critics of the new Iraqi government more fuel for their fire. We need to make sure this trial is transparent, and regimental, anything short of this will make us look less credible in the eyes of Middle Easterners.

We have seen some interesting trials such as Michael Jackson, Robert Blake, O.J. etc…However, I don’t think this is one many who has any chance at not guilty, he could pop on Mickey’s glove, have it not fit, but I think the jury would not acquit. The man is guilty, the decision will be provided in the end. We just have to make sure the way to the decision looks proper, and legitimate.
