The American President wants to view job creation first hand. Therefore, he is going to the area where job creation is running rampant, and yes, before you get cynical it is American company job creation he wants to see, but it is also American company job creation in India he will be viewing.
President Bush is going to India to discuss issues such as trade, disaster relief, and other various social issues. However, many in the Midwest are upset that the President is skipping their small towns, and factories, for the likes of India, and Pakistan.
Midwestern America feels President Bush is betraying them because he is not addressing the issue of job loss due to unfair playing fields for corporate America. Many hard working union workers want President Bush to address taxation legislature that would help make American businesses more competitive in Global markets. Many of these individuals feel they are being consumed by the ‘Race to the Bottom’ and the President has deserted them.
Many wonder how Bush can visit China, Pakistan, and India, and discuss trade, when it is these same countries that have predatorily preyed on the American workforce. It is not that we detest these countries; it is that they have favorable taxation, and labor wages, that makes competing in a global market almost impossible. We want our President to help us on this issue.
Polled individuals are now stating that outsourcing, and value of life, are most important in deciding their vote. However, with trips to discuss trade in foreign countries, Bush is not winning any of these votes; he needs to address these individuals and their concerns if the Republicans want to maintain status quo.
You have some kind of a seige mentality going on. For your information, we aren’t predatory, we are poor.
You think we like living like this; unreliable electricity, unclean water, bad roads, not being able to afford a car? Well, I hope things are looking up in your bubble.
