Jill Carroll : Kidnapped Journalist In Iraq

Another innocent individual has been abducted and held hostage in Iraq. However, unlike 24, there is no Jack Bauer swooping in to save the day. The evil individuals in Iraq, known as insurgents, routinely capture innocent civilians and hold them hostage as a way to attract attention to their cause. They routinely ask the same thing, “Release all of the female prisoners in Iraq.” They have killed numerous individuals after issuing this request, they know that the request will never be obliged, yet they go through the process, and kill the innocent victims, thus destroying not only the innocent life but also the lives of the family members of the victim, as well as hope in the world.

I am upset with the terrorist but I am also upset that Muslim leaders, supposed leaders of the religion of peace, do not speak up, and speak out, about these terrorist actions. How can any Muslims justify killing innocent individuals for their cause? I understand their concept of Jihad; however, kidnapping an innocent woman is not covered under this edict. The action is gutless and heartless, and I believe it is an abomination to the true Islamic faith.

I am appalled when I hear leaders in Iraq say these individuals need to be embraced. What redeeming quality does this type of individual actually have? To kill an innocent life is one of the most terrible things you can do. To whisk this individual out of this world and prematurely into the next is not a privilege any of us should have in regards to another persons life.

I pray for the family of this individual, as well as all others being held hostage. Furthermore, I am growing more upset that these individuals are referred to as insurgents, or rebels. They should be called racists, and soul-less, they are performing atrocities against mankind and it is time they get the label of what they are, a black spot on the soul of humanity.

Why do politicians, and the media, dance around calling these individuals what they really are? Racist, discriminatory, gutless, swine. If a shopping mall security officer roughed up an African American, Jesse Jackson, Reverend Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, and countless ACLU officials, would be flying hundreds in to protest immediately. However, they are speechless, and not locatable, when it comes to issues such as this. I think they should been seen and heard. You can’t be a leader of mankind, and at the same time pick and choose your battles. Leaders should step up and apply more pressure to the Muslim community.

I would also like to have journalists in the Middle East refer to the kidnapped victim by name, Jill Carroll, she has a name, and an identity, the ones who perpetrate any attrocities toward her, and her family, should have to hear the name for he rest of their lives. Victims are faceless, Jill is not.

There is nothing magical in Islam that makes what is going on o.k., these individuals have no right, or reason, to perform any of the atrocities they do. I hope justification, and jurisdiction, comes down heavily on these individuals during their final judgment.

Jill Carroll will be in our prayers.
