Red Dawn Or Bad Dream?

Red Dawn, do you remember the movie? Many remember it because of all the young superstars in the movie, the majority of which eventually catapulted into stardom. But the story of the movie itself was a wake up call to America in the 1980’s. It was a simple reminder; America could be vulnerable if we are not vigilant.

In the movie the Russians teamed with Latin Rebels, they came up through Mexico and invaded America via Texas. Could this be a reality any time soon? Read on and decide for yourself.

Chinese influence in Latin America is reaching record levels; they are also becoming friendly with governments considered hostile towards the United States. These countries include Venezuela, and Cuba.

What is really the issue to be concerned about is the fact that China also now owns or operates businesses on both entrances of the Panama Canal, thus they are partly in control of this area. The possibility of a Chinese take-over of the strategic Panama Canal is a possibility many are ignoring. However, it could easily become fact with little effort.

The Panama Canal is a vital waterway for U.S. cargo shipments that are sent throughout the world. Any disruption involving travel through the canal would have a devastating effect on America.

There has also been the construction of a major Chinese shipping facility in the Bahamas, many question why there is such a large facility for such a small country, but the Chinese avoid the questions by simply not answering why the facility was built.

The former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Thomas Moorer stated that he believed China plotted to take over the Panama Canal and use the area to launch a nuclear attack on the United States. This may be a little extreme but again, it is now a distinct possibility. Many others in government have expressed concern over the Chinese influence in Latin America. Trent Lott has previously expressed his concern that the Chinese could deny U.S. ships passage through the canal once they attained the proper influence.

Chinese influence in Valenzuela could also affect oil production from the oil rich country. Any disruption caused by Valenzuela could be a major problem for America.

When you discuss the issue of Cuban, Chinese, relations, you must understand that many already believe China has numerous military, and espionage, experts in Cuba. Many militray experts say that China routinely performs surveillance on America from know Cuban locations.

Also notice the influence China is having in Canada as well. Be paranoid? Not yet. Be concerned, maybe it’s a good idea. Maybe America will outsource itself right out of being, maybe not.
