Is Condi just another someone screaming wolf or will her warnings be perceived as truth? Have our miscalculations about Iraq come back to haunt our current problems with Iran? Who trusts our word now? Hopefully many, because this issue appears to have more serious ramifications than Saddams’ ever did.
The United States and Great Britain are just two of the countries that will seek economic sanctions against Iran in reaction to the news that Iran has restarted nuclear activity. Iran’s president responded by stating that his country would not be “bullied” and would push forward with its nuclear program.
European foreign ministers stated on Thursday that nuclear talks with Iran had reached a dead, they advised that they feel the issue should be referred to the U.N. Security Council. This is a vastly different position than the diplomats have previously assumed. Iran responded by stating any referral to the U.N. Council will be met with a severe response.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice advised that a strong message was sent to Tehran. However, when further questioned she advised she was not ready to discuss what actions would be taken to curtail Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Condoleezza Rice believes the issue of Iran will eventually be discussed before the U.N. Security Council, she stated, “There are a variety of options, a variety of tools at the disposal of the international community once it has been referred to the Security Council.” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said.
The U.S. has publicly declared its belief that Iran is hiding a clandestine nuclear weapons program disguised as a plan to develop civilian nuclear energy. Iran has routinely stated that its intentions are purely peaceful.
Russia and China opposed the idea of taking the Iranian issue to the Security Council in the past. However, they appear to be losing their patience with Tehran during this latest standoff. Officials from both countries have cautiously stated that Iran is behaving in a manner that is not conducive to resolving the current situation diplomatically.
Iran May Be Headed To Showdown

Not sure. But I think it’s safe to say that we have a smoking gun on the premise that Iran admits to having such technology. But nonetheless, I wouldn’t be surprised if the general U.S. public thought there could be ulterior motives in starting another war, with Iran. But I do think Iran could be a serious threat. Too bad we’ve depleted our military resources on the Iraq war.
The Farce Report
I agree with you wholeheartedly Pseudosig. I think many share your same opinion. Hopefully more individuals like yourself stand up and get accounted for and maybe this situation gets addressed a little more properly than has the Iraqi issue. Your opinions are always appreciated.
