Judge Samuel Alito Faces U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Nomination to the Supreme Court
There are fears openly expressed that decry the current course of policies as it relates to the issue of abortion, gay rights, and immigration. Many feel that the conservative ideologues are becoming outdated for modern times. Many Democrats believe the Republicans are trying to recreate a ‘Leave it to Beaver’ lifestyle. The Republicans state this is just more democratic fear mongering.
The American Bar Association has thrown their support behind Judge Samuel Alito, they gave him their highest rating last week. Usually the Democrats appreciate the rating given by the ABA, but with the House and Senate so evenly distributed, many feel the Democrats will ignore the rating and attack Alito with liberal ideologies.

There are many other questions that were thrown at Alito today. Many on both sides feel he answered the questions well and feel he will be a good nominee for appointment which is there way of saying he most likely will be a Supreme Court Justice when all this is said and done.
