Are stores starting to feel the pinch of the economy because they sell imported goods rather than ‘Made in America’ goods? The questions are asked by many, “If we don’t build it, how much longer can we afford to buy it?”
Each year we hear how sales are a little worse, in direct correlation we also hear how American companies are off-shoring, or outsourcing, employment. It is easy to see that if Americans aren’t thriving as a working community we are not going to thrive for long as a buying and consuming demographic.
There must be a balance struck soon if we are to maintain a healthy economy that sustains itself and lends to growth. Buying at stores that sell imported goods does not help out the overall economy. When will congress address this issue? Hopefully soon.
Think of everything you bought this holiday season, how much of it was made here in America and how much was made overseas? Are you doing all you can to support domestic companies loyal to American workers?
People need to educate themselves on this issue, it is very important. QWe must know what is made domestically and what is imported.
Hopefully we create more jobs domestically. We cannot rely on the housing amrket forever, once the slowdown in domestic job creation starts to affect the housing market, we will see the real cracks in the economy. Hopefully, legislators take action and get this ship righted.
You are right, but when and where will something solid be done to change things? I hope our politicans are taking note and they will begin to step up to save our domestic job force. We can be more than just consumers and shoppers ya know.
Good point, we can be more than just shoppers and consumers, matter of fact we need to be more than just that.
