In Caracas Venezuela it was reported that on Monday authorities warned of a radiation hazard and launched a nationwide search for a capsule that contained highly radioactive material which was stolen along with the truck carrying it. Col. Antonio Rivero told Reuters, “We have a state of emergency at a national and regional level and are looking for the capsule everywhere.
A truck was stolen in Yaracuy Sunday night. Contained in the truck was a potentially deadly device, whose protective container is about the size of a lunchbox. The device contains Iridium-192, which emits powerful gamma.
Before you immediately judge the president soo harshly remember he has privy to twenty to thirty of these types of stories each day. He must play by the rules provided to him but just take time to consider his position before you immediately condemn him.
