WWE Entertains Troops With Tribute To The Troops Shows Overseas

Many American troops were recently heard chanting Vince McMahon for president, were they crazy or just suffering from heat exhaustion? Many consider Vince McMahon nothing more than a modern day snake oil salesman in the 21st century. However, you should take a second look.

Vince runs one of the most profitable corporations in America; his RAW cable show is routinely the top rated show on cable each week. His brand name, ‘WWE’ is in the top ten lists of searched names on the internet each year the list is announced. Vince has also taken a strong stand against steroid use in his business by enacting policies to monitor the any drug use in his company. Lastly, his dedication to the American troops, well just ask any soldier who has met his traveling cast of characters, they will give you an honest impression of the man and his employees.

Troops in, and outside, the United States have applauded and thanked Vince McMahon for his dedication to the armed forces serving America. Routinely throughout the year Vince and his WWE stars visit soldiers on bases and in hospitals, the visits are always on a volunteer basis but many of the wrestling stars consider it a privilege to perform this service. World Wrestling Entertainment stars, along with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, recently visited US Troops stationed in Afghanistan and the Middle East to spread joy and comfort this Christmas season.

Once a year Vince allows any and all wresters the chance to voluntarily sign up to go overseas and put on a show for the U.S. troops abroad. The WWE Tribute to the Troops tour is yearly the largest personality production to visit troops in Afghanistan, and Iraq. The WWE superstars visit nearly every base in the region when they are there staging the shows.

From December 7-9, the wrestlers ate, slept, and lived in the service men and woman’s barracks; they also ate in the mess halls along with the soldiers, while filming a series of appearances with the troops. The tour will be broadcast Monday Night December 19th; it will be presented as the WWE’s Tribute to the Troops holiday special. Vince McMahon has performed this event each year since the troops have been stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Vince McMahon stated, “It is important to us that we reached as many of the troops as we can to not only entertain them, but thank them for their service to their country.”
