Many believe that President Bush is at odds with Secretary Rumsfeld, as well as Vice President Dick Cheney. There is speculation throughout Washington that Bush is starting to feel that the leadership being provided on the Iraq War by Rumsfeld, and Cheney, is contradictory to what he feels should be going on. This has led many political insiders to speculate that changes in the administration will be forthcoming. Joe Lieberman is considered to be one of President Bush’s staunchest Democratic defenders on the handling of the Iraq War. Senator Joe Lieberman has routinely spoken in direct contradiction of his parties’ stance on the war; he has been a vocal advocate for Bush’s Iraq policies.
Whether you like him or not, rumor has it that you may not have Donald Rumsfeld to kick around much longer. However, as of right now, this is all speculation and rumor; does anyone recall the Social Studies term ‘Trial Balloon’?
