President Of Iran Speaks With Fire On Israeli Issue

During speech class you are taught to catch the audience attention with your opening statement. Apparently the Iranian President not only understands this concept he has mastered it. “Burn in Fire”, “Wipe them off the Map”, “Destruction”, “Retaliation”, “Not until they are all gone from this land”, these opening remarks not only get the audiences attention it gets the worlds attention.

Iranians do not like to be called Arabs, they consider themselves Persians. However, when it comes to Israel the Iranian leader refers to Palestinians, Egyptians, and Lebanonese, as his Arab brothers and sisters. The Iranian President never misses and opportunity to speak about his support of Arab countries in their struggles, and conflicts, with Israel. However, many feel its Irans’ support, and meddling, in the Arab-Israeli issue that is the real stumbling block to resolving the crisis in the Middle East.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has assaulted the country of Israel numerous times in publicly broadcasted speeches. World leaders around the globe consider his fiery rhetoric, in regards to Israel, very offensive to all of humanity.

Recently the Iranian President expressed his doubt, in a public speech detailed by Irans’ official news agency (IRNA), that the Jewish Holocaust never occurred; this is not the first time he has made this statement in public, nor will it most likely be the last.

IRNA reported that the President went on to say that, “Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail…Although we don’t accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?… If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe — like in Germany, Austria or other countries — to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it”

In October world leaders criticized the Iranian President for his similar remarks where he stated, “Israel should be wiped off the map of the world.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev remarked about the Presidents recent speech, “He is not just Israel’s problem. He is a worry for the entire international community.”

Israel and Iran were close allies when the Shah was ruler of Iran. However, since the 1979 Islamic revolution, Iran has sworn itself an enemy of Israel and all of its citizens.

The main tension between Israel and Iran lies in the Palestinian issue. Israel has repeatedly accused Iran of providing money and weapons to Palestinian militant groups; Iran has always denied directly supporting militant groups of any sort by official means.

With the recent statement by the President of Iran, who said Israel will burn, there is a renewed fear by many Israelis that if Iran develops a nuclear weapon it will use it on Israel. Tehran has repeatedly referred to Israel as a terrorist state and advised that any military action taken on Israel would be done in a swift and painful attack. Iran has developed missiles which can reach cities located inside Israeli borders. Iran has advised that it would fire missiles into Israel if Israeli planes attempted any missions inside of Iranian borders.
