Consumer Confidence Up As Gas Prices Fall

Consumer confidence is up once again. Many believe it is a renewed concern by American citizens to be more aware of their buying habits. There is a growing groundswell effort by many unique groups to remind Americans that they need to buy products that state on their label, “Made in America.”

With working wages coming down, and the amount of benefits being reduced, many believe American factories are once again gaining a competitive foothold in the world economy. Because America is the number one consuming country in the world it stands to reason that Americans should buy American made products.

Because American factories are now competitive in pricing, they are trying to once again gain market share by representing themselves as a fine quality producer of durable goods rather than a cheap producer. Many in the manufacturing area are happy to be moving from the predatory issues of who is the lowest cost producer to the quality issues of who can produce the best quality item.
